Our network values co-design as a promising tool to animate connections and collaborations between community gardens, public greenspaces, and other indoor/outdoor community food initiatives that span across neighbourhoods.

In 2022, the _____________________________ is expected to come into effect. This law grants legal rights for citizens and companies (be vigilant) to be part of the design and planning phases of public spaces or common environments. We feel it is valuable to gain experience, skills and confidence in co-designing to ensure that common greenspaces are protected and regenerated.

In February 2022 we published a ‘DIT (Do-It-Together) Guide towards Regenerating Community Foodscapes by Co-design’.
The guide is the fermentation and distillation of five co-design experiments that took place in Amsterdam in 2021. Each experiment was co-facilitated with members and friends of SoNeBuTu who are pioneering practices of co-design in the multiple food communities or collectives they belong to.

You can access and read the guide by clicking on the front page of the guide.

We also share each of the five co-design experiments below. We hope you can gain insight into the process of co-design and that the methods and practices we co-created are valuable harvests.
